“ Sadly, shrinkflation is in full effect here. We noticed tgat the pizzas have gotten smaller ... while the prices have crept up. It was already pretty damn expensive for a margharita pizza that takes 90 seconds to make with 3 ingredients ($17 ... so about $24 per pie after taxes and tip). Add a $8 beer and now you are talking about $40 for a pizza and beer. The same meal in Italy is $10. Having said that ... this is true Neopolitan pizza. One of the few places outside NYC or LA I actually feel is almost on par with what you get in Italy. I try to remind myself when paying $17 for a pizza or small sub that attention is taken to use only the best ingredients from Italy, which means expensive import charges. If you don't mind paying for authenticity, its a worthy splurge. (Although if the ptices were 20% cheaper I'd probably eat here 5x as much, when in town.) One thing I noticed on my last visit ... and I hope it is because we came on a Monday when the 'B-squad' was running the oven ... is that the dough was thicker and the crust was fluffier than normal. A lot of the troglodytes on here who don't know true Neopolitan pizza from their ass complain that the middle of the pizza is 'soggy' or 'messy'. Idiots. That is how it is supposed to be! Hopefully the management doesn't aquiese to these complainers' ignorance and make the pizza more 'Americanized' by making the crust fluffier and able to be picked up and eaten as a slice. My guess is they will stay true to authenticity as a lot of pride is tajen here. Overall, I will probably give them back the 5th star because this is hands down the Italophile's best shot at getting true-ish Neopolitan pizza outside a major foodie city. The ingredients are much better than any others and great care is taken to promote the art of true pizza. I am still smarting a bit about the shrinkflation sizewise of the pizza, so it may take me a bit to adjust to the new smaller pizzas at the same prices. Honestly, because the pizza is so good, I will continue to pay what they charge. ”

“ I have been wanting to try this place for a while , and it didn't disappoint! We tried the pizza Napoletana Margarita and the New York cheese, plus the kale Cesar. I only thought to take a pic when we had devoured everything! They were all delicious. My husband and I shared the two pizzas and the salad with our 7 and 9 year old (they complained about eating salad lol) but loved the NY. We were happy not to share the Napoletana. Service was great and the place itself has so many cool authentic Italian artworks and details. We came early on a friday and managed to get a walk-in table but some folks were waiting. I would say worth the wait and they do have a table area you can sit and wait at. I will be back! ”

“ Family outing - movie & afterwards, delicious pizza to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Pasquales has moved to a larger location since I was last here 6 years ago. It's nicely decorated, and there is a small marketplace when you first come in. Our group of 6 had 3 different pizzas (and leftovers). The grandma pizza - rectangular, crust, cheese & sauce on top. 2 NY style pizzas - thin crust. Pepperoni & a white pizza with spinach, garlic & ricotta. All delicious! Dessert was cheesecake (made with ricotta so it was a bit lighter) & cannoli that had a lot of chocolate chips in the filling. Yum. Service was really good too Of course we are going back. ”

“ Pasquale's Pizzeria in Kingston, RI, is a slice of pizza heaven. This spot serves up some of the best authentic, wood-fired pizzas in the area!! (Seriously it's one of the best in the country!) From the perfectly crisp crust to the fresh, high-quality toppings, every bite tastes like it's straight from Italy. The menu offers a thoughtful variety of classic and creative options, making it impossible to choose just one favorite. Two of us stopped by on a Tuesday evening in the Fall and grabbed a spot by the counter with no wait. We split three pizzas and a salad. Was it too much? Probably. But totally worth it. We started with the classic margaritas, then tried the Ninco Nonna (yellow sauce) and a special. The búfalo mozzarella was to die for. The cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality add to the charm. Pro Tips: - Pizzas are personal sized so don't be afraid to try a couple. - Don't skip the Margherita--it's a classic for a reason. Also try the yellow mountain vesuvius pizza. - The best seat in the house is in front of the oven! If you're dining by yourself or with another person- try it. ”

“ We spent the day yesterday with some of my cousins in Rhode Island. We all ended up going out for a late lunch/early dinner (my preferred meal of the day) which is how we landed at Pasquale's. Tom and I had never been before but my cousin's had and love it there. We now join them in their enthusiasm. I wouldn't think of the space as typical "pizzeria"....this is a casual but very lovely restaurant space with a full menu of delicious options. We were greeted warmly by the host and brought to a table whereupon we were soon greeted by our lovely and efficient server. She brought waters, gave us a few minutes and came back for drink requests. I had a glass of Falanghina which is a white wine grown from grapes coming from the Campania region of Italy. It is a favorite of mine. Tom had some kind of hard cider, someone else had a blood orange white wine sangria and the others had one kind of cocktail or another that I can't recall. We started with some appetizers for the table which included: Fritto Partenopeo which were an assortment of potato croquettes, pasta fritters and risotto fritters (arancini). Delicious! We also had an appetizer sized order of meatballs that we agreed were beautifully cooked and close in taste to the homemade meatballs that we are used to. Lastly we got an order of Imported Buffalo Mozzarella with Parma Prosciutto which was out of this world yummy. For our main dishes, along with one of my cousins, we each got grilled Italian sausage, sandwiches served with roasted peppers, broccoli rabe pesto and smoked provolone on warm, crusty ciabatta bread. These sandwiches were packed full of deliciousness. They were so big that I got through just half and brought the other half home with me. Tom and someone else got the Vivace sandwiches which were parma prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, semi-dried tomatoes, argula and roasted peppers also served on the excellent ciabatta. The server recommended adding a chicken cutlet to those sandwiches which to me seemed like gilding the lily but they each went with it and were very happy about it. Two other orders I can recall were the gnocchi and a Margherita pizza. It was a lot of food but all of it quite amazing. There was plenty for each of us to take home as leftovers. Yay for two meals out of one! The service was excellent and very friendly. The restaurant has a nice dessert menu but we opted to walk across the way to an Italian market affiliated with the restaurants. In addition to some great products imported from Italy, they had a case of gelato. I was too full but the others each got a gelato from the lovely Italian server. It was a lovely day and I would be happy to return to Pasquale's again. ”

“ We had a fresh NY style thin pizza with chicken...it was delicious.... The pizza here is best eaten right when they serve it....after a few minutes, when the pizza gets cold it is not as good...so enjoy every bite right after they place it on your table. Our server was very nice and friendly. The place gets very packed on weekend nights, so either arrive early or expect a bit of a wait. ”

“ Hubby & I had a friend in town who makes pizza every Friday night in homage to his dearly beloved mother who is no longer with us but made pizza for the neighborhood in his youth. What better place to take a pizza lover than Pasquale's Pizzeria Napulitana - the highly rated & world recognized pizza restaurant in Rhode Island! It's been a minute since we have been to Pasquale's. Since then, they moved from one side of the plaza to the other & expanded the restaurant - it's almost three times the size on the inside plus an outdoor patio. Their former space is an Italian market that is run by Pasquale's. Unfortunately for us, the market was already closed by the time we made it to the restaurant for dinner. You have to get a Napoletana pizza. It's their claim to fame. And what better one to order than the Margherita with San Marzano tomatoes, basil leaves, fior di latte mozzarella & EVOO. Spectacular! It is so simple that everything has to shine & it does. Hubby couldn't stop talking about how fresh the tomato sauce tastes. Pro tip: give it a hot second before picking up a slice - it needs to set for a minute, otherwise everything is just going to slide off & you are going to burn your mouth on the hot cheese. I would have gone with the New York pizza as a second choice but, on the recommendation of our server & the desire to try it by our guest, we ordered the Grandma pizza. Our server said that we could do half & half, recommending Roxy's & Carni. We ended up going with: - Roxy's: Fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, chunks of roasted garlic & balsamic reduction - Sausage & Rabe: Sausage, broccoli rabe, garlic, mozzarella & ricotta We loved the bite of the rabe on the one side & the uniqueness of the gorgonzola on the other. If you find yourself in the South Kingstown area, definitely check out Pasquale's! ”
